Outcome of dialogue must be implemented on ground : Shaheen | KNO

GANDERBAL, May 30 (KNO) : Sate unit of Janata Dal United welcomed the dialogue going to be held between Central Government and the separatists. While addressing the public meeting at Kangan area of Ganderbal District, State President Janata Dal United, G.M Shah Shaheen said that the dialogue is imperative for restoring peace in the Kashmir Valley.

He said that the outcome of dialogue process must be implemented on ground so that the people of Kashmir Valley will live life happily. Shaheen stressed for meaningful dialogue and added that it is important to have transparency in such a process and an assurance from all sides that promises and pledges made will be honoured. Shaheen also expressed concern over the ceasefire violations in which people of both the countries have suffered a great loss including loss lives and property. “Exchange of heavy firing between the two armies is taking a serious toll on the people living on both sides of Line of Control as they are losing their property and lives and live under a perpetual threat,” Shaheen said adding that in the past, many innocent lives on both sides of the border had been consumed by shelling.

Shaheen called for an immediate cessation of hostilities to safeguard the lives of the people and hoped that the upcoming dialogue would be fruitful which will restore the peace in Kashmir Valley.
